The List of Nintendo Switch Launch Games Continues to Grow – Three New Additions Today
Launch game announcements have been a bit sparse for the Nintendo Switch. However, things may be looking up today as Nintendo announced 3 new launch games for their upcoming console… well… kind of.
There are three “new” games that will be released for the Switch on launch day. We used parenthesis because all three of these games are ports from other Nintendo Systems so they are technically not current games but they do bolster the growing list of launch games for the Nintendo Switch which now looks like this:
- The Legend of Zeldas: Breath of the Wild
- 1-2 Switch
- Just Dance 2017
- Super Bomberman R
- Skylanders: Imaginators
- The Binding of Isaac: Afterbrith+
- I am Setsuna
- World of Goo
- Little Inferno
- Human Resource Machine
These three additions; World of Goo, Little Inferno, and Human Resource Machine, are also from the same developer, Tomorrow Corporation. You may have heard of these games some time in the past few years. If you haven’t check out the quick trailers below. Little Inferno was released in 2012 on Wii U and is a puzzle game that was met with mixed reviews.  IGN only gave the game a 5/10 while Destructoid scored it a 9/10! The teaser below is definitely bizarre and shows off the sense of humor over at Tomorrow Corporation.
World of Goo is a really inventive and crazy puzzle game that relies on a physics engine to drive gameplay. Though it’s a lot of fun, World of Goo is a geriatric in the gaming community, having been released way back in 2008 for the Wii.
Finally, Human Resource Machine is a bizarre puzzle game where you play as little office workers who are trying not to lose their jobs to superior robot workers (ah the social commentary!) This game apparently teaches you somewhat transferable programming skills in order to solve puzzles and be a better worker. You know, kind of like how playing Guitar Hero actually teaches you to shred on an axe and become a rock legend! Human Resources Machine is the most recent of the three games, having been released in 2015 on Wii U.
All three games will be available on March 3rd when the Nintendo Switch comes out.
