Ubisoft Ups Ante for Their 30th Anniversary, Releasing 7 Free Games for a Limited Time, This Weekend Only
For the past few months, Ubisoft has been celebrating their 30th anniversary by releasing a free PC game to members each month for the past 7 months. They recently announced, in the true spirit of holiday giving, that all 7 games will be available at once for a limited time.  This is all a part of their 30-day giveaway that we announced here. If you want to take advantage of this offer you’ll have to head over to Club Ubisoft between now and December 18th to snag them all or pick up the ones you may have missed. Sorry console gamers, but this one’s only for PC players, but the links below will take you to a place where you can get your hands on console versions. Here’s what you grab this weekend:
- Prince Of Persia: The Sands Of Time: An adrenaline pumping adventure game where you can control the flow of time and engage in some OG parkour.
- Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell: You play a covert operative whose best friends are the darkness and some crazy high-tech gear.
- Rayman Origins: A classic, side-scrolling adventure that is satisfying to play and has all the wacky art direction you would expect from a Rayman game.
- The Crew: An incredibly realistic driving game that puts you in some of the most iconic North American landscapes and incorporates elements of an MMO.
- Beyond Good And Evil: A unique game originally released in 2003 with a widely acclaimed story.
- Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon: An action packed shooter that puts you in a version of the future that is perfectly in line with 80’s action flicks.
- Assasins Creed 3 – The all-stabbing, all-freerunning, partially open world adventure game that everyone has either played or seen being played, as they release about one of these a year.  This one takes place during the civil war in America.
Even though a lot of these games are a bit dated, they are all worth playing. We live in a time where games are getting bigger and prettier, but a good game will always be a good game, even if it’s not quite as amazing to look at. It’s inspiring to think that a company like Ubisoft has been around, publishing games for 30 years now, and really cool that they’re giving away some of their classics. Here’s hoping that the next 30 years continue to bring us awesome games… and the next 30 iterations of Assasin’s Creed.
