The New Space-Themed Rocket League Update Includes New Arena, New Premium Battle-Car, Steam Workshop Support, and More
Psyonix, the indie game minds behind the car-soccer smash-hit Rocket League, announced that their new space-themed Starbase ARC is now available for download! Starbase ARC contains many new in-game features such as Steam Workshop support, a free new arena and the premium DLC Battle-Car, Vulcan, both of which were inspired by Psyonix’s critically-acclaimed mobile title, ARC Squadron.
Starbase Arc brings lots of exciting new goodies to Rocket League, such as the long-awaited Steam Workshop support, so players can create their own custom levels via the Steam Workshop Uploader Tool. Along with Steam Workshop support, Starbase ARC also includes the Arena Preference Selector, which allows players to “like” or “dislike” an arena, which will in turn increase or decrease their chances of playing them in online matches, the ‘Champion Series IV’ Crate, will all new items for players to deck out their car with, like a new Import Battle-Car and animated Decals, the two variant arenas ‘Wasteland (Night)’ and ‘Utopia Coliseum (Snowy)’, free visual redesigns for for SARPBC vehicles, and the new option “Colorblind Mode” adding high contrasts to orange and blue shades, along with high contrast nameplates.
Rocket League‘s big new update also gives us one of the most requested community features of all time: Custom Training mode. Now, you can create your own custom training sequence, where you can name, edit, and upload your sequences, so that you can really show other players how it’s done. Custom Training mode is available to players for free and is available on all platforms.
The Starbase ARC arena itself is an octagon-shaped space station orbiting a desert planet in a distant galaxy. Coming with it are action-packed starship battles, floating planetoids, and interstellar laser shows, making the newest installment in Rocket League one of the most insanely galactic atmospheres yet.
