Google’s Daydream View VR Launches HBO NOW – Netflix Soon to Come

Google’s Daydream View VR Rolls Out More Virtual Reality Content, Including HBO NOW – Netflix Soon to Come

It’s no shocker that Google jumped on the virtual reality bandwagon, introducing Google’s Daydream View VR headset as a solution to their VR-absent hardware, accompanied by Google Pixel, their first Daydream VR ready phone. Seven new apps have launched for the mobile VR headset, adding to the list of 50 VR apps that they promised by the end of the year.

HBO NOW, HBO GO, and NextVR streaming services are now available, and while HBO NOW and HBO go are still in 2D, you can still enjoy content like Westworld and Game of Thrones through the comfort of your Google headset. On the other hand, NextVR lets you experience sports events and LiveNation concerts live or experience them again. Best part about them? They’re both free.

The new games now available in VR are Gunjack 2: End of Shift, LEGO BrickHeadz Builder VR, Layers of Fear: Solitude, Wands, and Underworld Overlord. From Sci-fi space shoot-em-ups, Lego building free-for-alls, there’s something for everyone. While Lego BrickHeadz Builder VR is the only free application, you shouldn’t let that deter you from trying out these games.

Google also announced a few more apps that will be launching for Daydream View later this month, among those, the ever-so-popular Netflix. You can take your Netflix with you wherever you go, but now in VR! Need for Speed will also be launching its first VR title with Need for Speed No Limits VR.

Two limited-edition Daydream View colors are now available, in a stunning Crimson and Snow. While Google Pixel may have been the first Daydream ready phone, Moto Z and Moto Z Force are also Daydream-compatible, and more devices that support Daydream are expected to be hitting the shelves for consumers and tech-heads in 2017.
