Overwatch Allows Users Free Access Next Weekend
Blizzard Entertainment has announced that they will be holding their second free Overwatch weekend this month! From November 18–21, anyone who has not yet gotten the chance to play will have the ability to test it out. The free weekend will be available to download for all players on the PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One! For anyone on the fence about the game, this is a huge deal!
Something to keep in mind however is that PlayStation 4 owners must have PlayStation Plus, Xbox One players must have Xbox Live Gold, and Windows PC users will need a Battle.net account. Don’t let that stop you though because the announcement states that all currently available characters, maps, and modes will be available to enjoy. And as if that wasn’t enough, you will be able to level up and earn loot boxes.
If the free weekend entices you to finally purchase Overwatch, which is likely considering how great the reviews have been, then you’ll already have some experience and customization content available! Blizzard said that you’ll get to keep any progress you make during the weekend, which will carry on to the full game if you purchase it.
The free period will launch at approximately 11 a.m. PST on November 18th, and end at 4 p.m. PST on the 21st. All other times are available here, as well as answers to any questions you might have regarding the free weekend.
Regardless, for those of you who already own Overwatch, next weekend will be a great opportunity to test your skills against some of the new recruits. Loot boxes here we come!
