Andromeda N7 Day Trailer Sets The Hype Train To Maximum
WOOO WOOOOOOO! All aboard everyone, itโs time to get hyped about the upcoming Mass Effect Andromeda. The Andromeda N7 Day Trailer dropped earlier this week alongside the Andromeda Initiative Story trailer, and to say it looks jaw dropping would be a massive understatement. Take a gander if you havenโt already seen it, then join us below for 8 of juicier (read: spoilery) tidbits we now know about Andromeda, along with some of the mysteries from the Andromeda N7 Day Trailer.
I told you โ this could be a bit spoilery, so stop here if youโre sensitive to spoilers.
There are 4 Arcs, and one bigger mothership โ the Nexus
The human ship (presumably) looks like itโs called Hyperion (awesome). What species occupy the other Arcs? It appears there is some diversity even within the Arcs, but Iโm curious to see who leads the other ships. Turians? Asari? Salarians? Krogan?
The journey to Andromeda took 600 years
Weโre told this by the Initiative orientation video, reinforced by the booming and powerful voiceover from Ryderโs father โ the Pathfinders are truly alone in Andromeda. There will be no reinforcements.
The Andromeda Initiative launched in 2185, during Mass Effect 2
So, the Citadel speciesโ were planning to strike out into deep space before the Reapers arrived, and the project was partially privately funded. Cerberus, anyone?
Thereโs a new species, and they have heads that look like handles on the back
Sweet. Odd that theyโre bipedal, but I suppose there have to be some concessions to playability here. Personally, I want to see the most outlandish aliens ever dreamt up.
Thereโs a thing that looks like a Leviathan
Ugh. I sincerely hope there are no reapers in this game, but I suppose if there has to be something along those lines, a Leviathan wouldnโt be so bad. What do you think this thing is?
Cutscenes are putting Frostbite to good use
The cutscenes weโve been shown are much more dynamic and realistic that the stiff, talking heads of the original trilogy. We all know how shiny Frostbite can make space look (see: Battlefront), and Andromeda looks like an absolute stunner so far.
Who is this guy?
Bioware has said that this random N7 guy isnโt Ryder. But, wait, why is Ryder scrawled on his helmet then? Is this an undercover spy/villain with a grudge? Perhaps itโs Ryderโs father? We donโt know, but Iโm dying to find out.
Holy shit, this might be gameplay
Wow. Looks damn impressive.
Apparently, thereโs going to be a big gameplay reveal for Andromeda at The Game Awards this year. I usually donโt watch them โ this might convince me.
