Fallout 4 Mods Finally Hitting PS4 with Next Update
It’s been a long time coming, and in fact, at one time Fallout 4 players were told that mods weren’t coming at all, but it looks like they will finally hit the PS4 version of the game in the next update. Bethesda officially announced via Twitter that Fallout 4 mods will be available in game as of the next November update.
The update, version 1.8 is currently in the certification process and addresses mods alongside a bunch of other random issues. The exact date for the update is not yet known.

Much the same as the dismal mod situation with Skyrim Special Edition on PS4, the Fallout 4 mods will not be able to use any external assets (textures etc) but only those that are already in the game. This bars a ton of great mods from ever hitting the PS4. It might not be the best situation but it looks to be the best (or should we say only) option for PS4 players at this time.
