New TGS 2016 Tekken 7 Trailer Looks Gorgeous
The Tekkenchannel on Youtube uploaded a brand spanking new trailer over the weekend, and it’s a pretty massive one, clocking in at a whopping three minutes. Fans can see plenty of new story details from Tekken 7, as well as a bunch of brand new gameplay, including Street Fighter’s infamous Akuma. It also has a fair bit of story hints, showing off what’s looking to be a final showdown for Heihachi and his cursed bloodline. One of these characters isn’t coming out alive, but your guess is as good as ours.
We got our hands on Tekken 7 back at E3, and while it’s still not going to hit for awhile, we’re super excited for it. The Tekken series has been kicking (and punching) around for a long time, and it’s one of the most iconic franchises in the video game industry. It’s kept itself fresh, and Tekken 7 looks to help shake up the formula even further. New mechanics, new faces, and plenty of returning favourites have us excited for the next entry in this popular fighting series.
All in all, it will feature 32 characters, with the possibility of more down the line. It’s dropping for Xbox One, PC, and PS4 simultaneously in early 2017, with Japan getting the same, updated version in Spring, 2017.
