The Witcher 3 Won’t Be Seeing a PS4 Pro Upgrade
You might think that a visual upgrade to one of this generation’s most beautiful titles might be a given but the folks at CDPR have decided against offering a PS4 Pro version of The Witcher 3. Many developers have hopped on board to offer tweaked versions of their existing PS4 titles for the upcoming PS4 Pro with games like Deus Ex: Mankind Divided, The Last of Us Remastered and Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End all receiving a title update that will boost their performance. Even yet to be released games like Horizon: Zero Dawn and Titanfall 2 are taking advantage.
When curious Reddit user govind1262 decided to email CDPR asking about a PS4 Pro update to The Witcher 3 he received this as a reply;
Thank you for your feedback and your question.I’m afraid that we have no plans to release the PS4 Pro edition for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt.
Our teams are currently working very hard on our upcoming projects such as GWENT: The Witcher Card game and Cyberpunk 2077. We want to be entirely focused on the development of these projects.

While this may come as a disappointment to many it’s also encouraging that games like the much-anticipated GWENT: The Witcher Card Game and Cyberpunk 2077 are being given CDPR’s undivided attention.
