Ubisoft’s ‘Steep’ Hits the Slopes for PC, PS4 and Xbox One on Dec 2nd
Ubisoft has officially announced the release date for Steep, an action sports game set in the open world of the Alps. Releasing on PC, Xbox One and PC on Dec 2nd there will be the Standard Edition as well as the Gold Edition available for pre-order.
We played Steep at E3 this year and summed up our preview coverage saying, “We had a chance to play Steep at the show and it impressed us enough that it earned our ‘Best Sports Game’ award for our inaugural E3 Awards. It did this by not only being the standout sports title among more of the same out of the EA camp but by including some sports that are far overdue for their time on the big stage. Steep not only includes snowboarding and skiing but incorporates paragliding and wingsuit chaos into its repertoire. It’s a total package of extreme mountain sports and from what we experienced it’s as good as sunny skies on a fresh powder morning.”
The Gold Edition includes both the game and the season pass. The season pass gives players access to all major expansions as well as additional digital content, outfits, and equipment, including an exclusive costume.
Players who pre-order the Standard or Gold Editions will be able to extend their night-riding experiences through The Moonlight pack. This pack contains new challenges and equipment, including:
- Three extra night challenges
- Three new night outfits
- Glowing equipment for each activity (ski, snowboard, wingsuit and paraglide)
- Wingsuit Rocket Flare
In addition to exploring the Alps, Steep riders will be able to traverse the majestic slopes of Alaska, available as a free update after launch.
