Bear With Me: Point-and-Click Noire Adventure Game Out on Steam Now
Bear With Me, a point-and-click noire adventure from Exordium Games following a 10-year-old girl and her imaginary friends, is now on Steam for Windows computers.
In Bear With Me, Amber sets out to find her missing brother. His location isn’t the only mystery she faces; recent rumors suggest someone called the Red Man is starting fires across Paper City, the monochromatic make-believe world where her friends reside.
To crack the case, Amber must discover clues, use unconventional solutions for puzzles and interview a cast of toys brought to life by her own imagination. Among the crew is Ted E. Bear, a stuffed bear imagined by Amber as a gravel-voiced sidekick detective with sharp one-liners.
Bear With Me features dynamic storytelling, linking the fate of characters to critical decisions that alter future events. Amber’s choices are to the benefit and detriment of those around her, forcing adventurers to make difficult decisions that help the characters they care about most.
Amber and Ted E. Bear examine a full lineup of animated characters, including Rusty Rocket, a retired robot steel mill worker owned by Amber’s brother, and The Mugshot Brothers, a pair of rabbits that ended their only attempt at honest work by mugging the kids in their ice cream parlor.
Episode one of Bear With Me is available on Steam and the Humble Store for $4.99 USD. The game features a full English voiceover as well as French, German, Italian, Spanish and Russian subtitles.
“Bear With Me combines the story-telling of classic detective movies with the formula of today’s most popular films,” said Andrej Kovacevic, game director, Exordium Games. “We’ve spent years crafting an experience accessible to the whole family, but with sharp wit, cutting one-liners and pop culture references that only an adult will truly appreciate.”
