Alden Ehrenreich Will Play A Young Han SoloÂ
Details have emerged regarding the next actor to pick up a blaster and play Han Solo in the upcoming Star Wars Movie. Alden Ehrenreich was the first one to audition out of over 3000 hopeful Hans and is now in final negotiations to start filming.
The film will be a Star Wars spin-off about the infamous galactic bounty hunter in his youthful days and it’s directed by Chris Miller and Phil Lord who were behind The Lego Movie and 21 Jump Street. Ehrenreich is an American born actor who most recently starred in Hail, Caesar and has worked with some of Hollywoods biggest names including Cate Blanchette, George Clooney, and Josh Brolin.

He will be taking the reigns from Harrison Ford who made his first appearance as the wise-cracking swashbuckler back in the 1977 Star Wars: a New Hope. It looks like Alden Ehrenreich had the swagger they needed to portray a younger, more energetic Han.
The Han Solo stand-alone will start filming in 2017 with a release planned for sometime in 2018. COGconnected will provide more details as they surface.
