Despite E3 No-Show, Rise of the Tomb Raider Still Coming to PS4 This Year

Rise of the Tomb Raider PS4 Still On Track

Rise of the Tomb Raider was a noticeable no-show at E3 2016. Yet despite this, the PS4 version of Rise of the Tomb Raider is remarkably still on track for a release later this year. This is according to a forum post.

An admin posted an update on the official Square Enix forums regarding the PS4 version of the game quoting Crystal Dynamics as saying:

“As stated previously, Rise of the Tomb Raider’s PlayStation 4 release is set for Holiday 2016.”

The game arrived on the Xbox One and Xbox 360 last November before heading to PC in January 2016.

We reviewed the game last year and said this about it:

“Rise of the Tomb Raider isn’t the biggest open world game. It doesn’t have the most quests or the most collectibles, and heck, you don’t even climb tall structures without a darn good reason. What Rise of the Tomb Raider has in spades is balance. Everything about the experience screams quality, and every objective has a good reason for existing. Those things make this small, tightly woven world more entertaining to explore than others, and consequently Rise of the Tomb Raider is a freakin’ great experience. I take issue with its combat mechanics, but everything else is so good that action adventure fans would have to be crazy to pass this one up.”
