Call of Duty Black Ops 3 Getting an Amazing New Mode This Week

Black Ops 3 is Getting a New Mode This Friday

Call of Duty Black Ops 3 has been out for awhile now. Aside from the usual slate of DLC we see every year from the franchise, you generally don’t get any new modes this late into a COD games life cycle. Eighth months after its release, developer Treyarch has confirmed that Call of Duty Black Ops 3 will be getting a new multiplayer mode. The recent announcement was made during a livestream by Treyarch design director David Vonderhaar.

According to Vonderhaar, the new mode is called Fracture, which is a new team-based game mode. The objective of the game is centered around files that each player will drop if they die. Combatants are expected to collect up to ten files from the enemy team, these files must then be taken to fracture site located somewhere in the map.

The location of the fracture sites will always change as the game goes on. While depositing the files to the site will takes a moment, so players will not be able to just make a quick drop and then carry on.

Based on the objective of the game, it seems that this mode takes a lot of its gameplay from the popular mode, Kill Confirmed, where players can pick up friendly files to prevent enemies from grabbing them.

Vonderhaar has confirmed that all the maps will be accessed for the mode, with 10-minute timer and 60-point score limit.

The launch version of the game will serve as a beta test, as the developer will continue to modify the game’s mode based on player feedback with the goal to create a polish new mode for players to enjoy.
