The Division Lost 93% of Players
With no real end game in sight, roughly 93% of people who were playing The Division have moved on, at least on Steam. Only 143,000 players were logged in yesterday, down from the initial peak of 2.1 million. It makes a lot of sense, considering how tight-lipped Massive and Ubisoft were about any information regarding content like raids. It doesn’t help that other highly anticipated titles like Uncharted 4, Overwatch, and Dark Souls 3 have been released lately, providing some great avenues for players to ditch out to.
If the developers can pump out some great content to fill the void at the end of the finish line, there’s still some hope for a comeback. In the meantime, it looks like the remaining fans might start to feel like they’re playing in a real ghost town.
