Potential Red Dead Redemption 2 Screen Shot Looks Legit Due To Chromatic Aberration
Could it be? Rockstar might be planning a mic-drop at E3 2016 with what could be Red Dead Redemption 2 or a remastered version according to a picture that was leaked. The following screenshot was posted on Reddit a few days ago, it was plucked from an environment artists portfolio. This artist used to work at Rockstar San Diego until July 2015.
Some crafty folks have scoured through portfolios of Rockstars past and present artists, plus relentlessly searched through coding of the developers website. Apparently, what was found in the coding suggests there are two more titles on the way in the future.
According to Gaudynights, this means that Rockstar might have some major plans for the hit open-world western.
“Games 11 and 112. Remember that RDR is game 1 and RDR:UN is game 111. So there are two game pages linked that follow the number format to mean they are associated with RDR. When you try to visit those pages they 404, like the error says, but the fact that the error exists means there is code on the games list set up to direct to them when they do exist. My guesses would be maybe the new RDR game and a remaster of RDR?”
While it’s not fully confirmed yet, we know that the only two games out of place were Grand Theft Auto 5 and Red Dead Redemption. Just having the 404ed game pages existing means that Rockstar plans to update them in the future.
Though a Red Dead Redemption remaster isn’t off the table, it would serve as filler between the developing of future games, but it has been six years since the original RDR back in 2010, so our bet is we will be seeing a sequel announcement at the upcoming E3. COGconnected will be there to cover the event so stay locked for more details.
