LoZ: Breath Of The Wild NX Offers Enhanced Visuals

Aounuma Confirms NX Version of Breath Of The Wild Will Have “Same Experience. Just Different Visuals.”

It would go without saying in this case, as we were assuming the next Nintendo console to offer higher fidelity than what is currently offered by the Wii U. Eiji Aounuma has confirmed with Tom Phillips at Eurogamer though, that the NX version of Breath of The Wild will indeed feature enhanced visuals, but an unchanged gameplay experience, otherwise.

For those that had managed to get their hands on the next installment in this classic series, the reception has been incredibly positive, with it taking a number of awards for Game Of Show this past E3. We were also quite fond of the title, but the Breath of The Wild wasn’t without it’s technical issues. The world felt a bit bare in the build we got out hands on, and while we’re sure the Wii U version will continue to get fine-tuned, the NX is going to offer even better visuals. The art-style in this title is downright gorgeous, and we’re hoping that Nintendo Magic can be worked on the title to help make the world feel more alive, in this case.

Legend of Zelda: Breath of The Wild is still slated for a 2017 release, and was also recently confirmed to be a launch title for Nintendo’s next console. NX details are admittedly scarce, and whatever Nintendo has been willing to reveal is likely behind some heavy, heavy non-disclosure agreements. We’re hopeful that it’s a return to form for the company though, and with the way Breath Of The Wild is shaping up, that may not be an entirely blind assumption to stick to.

As always, keep your eyes on COGconnected for any new details on this title, as we’re basically chomping at the bit for any sort of new information that may trickle our way.
