Features Abound In This New Trailer For Kirby: Planet Robobot
Kirby: Planet Robobot is soon upon us, and what better way to get excited even more than with a brand spanking new trailer, courtesy of Nintendo of Europe. Kirby: Planet Robobot shakes up the usual kirby formula by adding a giant, kirby shaped mech into the equation. You’ll make use of your standard copy abilities, but the giant mech has the same ability to copy powers, allowing for some interesting twists on the standard kirby formula. It’s an fun way to shake up on the formula people love with this series, and there’s a variety of new powers to make use of for both Kirby and his mechanized suit, such as ESP, Doctor and Poison, along with the traditional options fans know and love.
The pint-sized puffball is at it again, as he is tasked with handling the invasion of the robotic forces of the Access Ark, an alien race that is bent on mechanizing Pop Star and all of its inhabitants. The trailer shows off a variety of new features within the game, including amiibo functionality, and some of the additional modes. One such addition is called “Team Kirby Clash”, in which friends can team up to take on the game’s multitude of bosses. The trailer also features snippets of gameplay from “Kirby 3D Rumble”, which is also included unlocked in the game from the get go.
In the above trailer, you can see the way the amiibo functionality works. Players can make use of various amiibos to be scanned into the game. They can also make use of the special Kirby series amiibos to either give Kirby a special look, or some unique abilities. Kirby: Planet Robobot is slated to come out in North America and Europe on June 10th, along with Australia receiving the game on June 11th. Fans can expect to purchase a copy of the game physically, or via the eShop if they prefer.
