Mass Effect: New Earth will combine live actors with 3D visuals
Mass Effect: New Earth, the 4D amusement park ride announced last year to be coming to California’s Great America, will reportedly be opening May 18th. Great America revealed the date via Twitter, and also its Season Pass prices, which run from $11 to $34.

Mass Effect: New Earth is a 4D holographic ride which features the world’s largest LED screen and was produced in partnership with Electronic Arts and Mass Effect developer BioWare. Check out this commercial which gives an idea of what attendees can expect:
The ride was announced in September of 2015, promising that it would feature settings and characters from the series. Visitors will apparently sit in  “motion-based seating” and wear 3D glasses, while live performers interact with the 3D visuals.
