The one thing the gaming community could never have enough of are horror games in my opinion and Gadan Games’ My Last Friday is exactly the kind of terrifying thrill you need. Gadan Games just launched an Indiegogo campaign to raise 30,000€ for My Last Friday, a first person horror game that steers clear of the generic approach to the genre.
My Last Friday is a flashlight-free horror game with a dark story that’s sure to entice any player with it’s dark secrets, clever puzzles and combat system. Also including a feature which is rarely seen in horror games: a choice based dialogue system. You play as Howard Goodson, a man who finds himself locked inside a strange old house and while trying to find the way out, he ends up spiraling deeper and deeper into a dark mysterious world while fighting gruesome creatures. With every step that’s taken, it becomes clear that you weren’t just randomly chosen, but a key character in a game.
“I’ve been working on this project during the nights and weekends, and do all the work related to it, except the music composition.”, said Gabor Dandar, founder at Gadan Games. “The game’s music composer is Sam Oz who has previously worked on several titles for Ubisoft.”
With the funds raised Gabor could focus on this project full time and could also delegate some artwork to freelance artists and hire voice actors.
After 10 days on Steam Greenlight My Last Friday was successfully Greenlit on July 14th, 2015. The first version of the alpha demo was released on August 15th, 2015. In the beginning of 2016 Sam Oz joined the team as a composer. Sam has previously worked on several titles for Ubisoft. On February 17th 2016 a new version of the demo was released with his music along with new features, improvements and fixes.
