We had news stories from The Division, the Lionhead Studios drama, PlayStation VR, Doom, and Fallout. Tom Clancy’s The Division
- It’s Finally Here: Well, after an almost unpredidented amount of hype, Tom Clancy’s The Division finally released on Mrach 8th on all platforms. Sick days spiked, relationships were tested. Check out our rundown of the game’s launch:
- Big Day 1 Update: Like many AAA releases these days, The Division came with a pretty hefty day-1 Update. Here is everything you need to know about it:
- Server Issues: Just as The Division launched, however, Ubisoft’s servers experienced server outages. Here is the full story:

Lionhead Studios
- Lionhead and Fable Legends Get the Axe: Microsoft closed a number of its developers this past week, most notably the renowned Lionhead Studio, whose much-anticipated project, Fable Legends, was also killed. Here is the full story:
- Microsoft Takes Heat: The reaction from around the industry to the Lionhead closing was swift and angry. One former Lionhead employee, Daniel Gray, led the way with some pretty pointed criticism of the Xbox maker. Check out the full details here:
- Sony to the Rescue: Microsoft’s PR nightmare got even worse when Sony stepped into the fray, offering to recruit fired Lionhead employees. (clap, clap) Well played Sony, well played:
PlayStation VR
- PlayStation VR Announcement Imminent? The virtual reality (VR) consoles are racing at furious speed to get to market and capture that coveted emerging VR market. For its part, Sony has been tight-lipped about when we might see its headset. However, as we reported this week, that might soon end, as the word on the street is that Sony might say something very soon:
- It’s About Price Not Quality: Sony’s Exec Masayasu Ito raised some eyebrows when he told Polygon that PlayStation VR wouldn’t match the quality of Oculus or HTC – but it would sell better than either because of one huge advantage:
