It’s official: Fallout 4 was the UK’s favourite video game of 2015. That’s according to a recent survey by the UK’s leading video game retailer, GAME, who are launching a competition in which players can win £2,015 pounds worth of reward points in January. We are not sure how much that is in US dollars, but it sounds like a lot.
Despite the eagerly anticipated return Master Chief in Halo 5: Guardians, or the frenzy which accompanied the launches of FIFA 16 and Star Wars Battlefront, it was Bethesda’s epic action thriller, Fallout 4, which topped the charts of must-have games, according to the retailer. Breaking sales records in just its first 24 hours, the open world game apparently really captured the imagination of UK gamers.
In second place came The Witcher III: Wild Hunt, while Batman Arkham Knight and the latest installment from the ever-popular Ubisoft franchise, Assassin’s Creed Syndicate, helped make up an elite list of top titles from 2015, as chosen by the GAME community.
Here are the UK’s Top 10 games of 2015 according to GAME UK:
1.    Fallout 4
2.    The Witcher III: Wild Hunt
3.    Batman Arkham Knight
4.    Assassin’s Creed Syndicate
5.    Star Wars Battlefront
6.    Call of Duty Black Ops 3
7.    Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain
8.    Destiny: The Taken King
9.    Halo 5: Guardians
10. FIFA 16
GAME is apparently also offering one lucky gamer the chance to win £2,015 worth of reward points when they purchase one game from the 2015’s Top 10. Those buying a game in-store or online will be entered into a prize draw to be drawn before the end of February, with 2,015 runners-up prizes also on offer of 2,015 reward points. Those lucky Brits!
