In an off the wall announcement at today’s Nintendo Direct, Nintendo revealed that Final Fantasy 7 superstar Cloud Strife is joining the already impressive roster of Super Smash Bros. Not content to just announce the addition, Nintendo also showed off Cloud’s smash moves, limit breaks, and a new Midgar stage. All in all, a drool worthy addition for Final Fantasy fans who have been snake bitten on Nintendo platforms since the 16 bit era. Check out the video evidence below. Cloud in Smash Bros. Nintnedo also teased a Super Smash Bros. focused Nintendo Direct for December. I’d put money on there being more Square Enix characters announced.
