3 Up, 3 Down – The Best (And Worst) Games From March 2016

Spring Break is over, the kids are back in school and the countdown is on for E3. As we inch closer to the big show, it’s also the time of year where we start to see a glut of rumours and E3 leaks blasted across every gaming website worldwide. It can get annoying as the suspense that used to accompany E3 just isn’t there anymore. Well, at least it isn’t for me. Sure there are a few announcements that manage to stay locked behind a vault before the show starts but otherwise we all know what games will be on display or revealed well before E3. Before we start focusing on the games yet to be released or E3’s not so big “big reveals”, it is time for our monthly reflection where we identify the worst and best games from the previous month. Lets jump right in.

The Best

TrackMania Turbo

Long-time veterans of the series may scoff at this pick for one of our games of the month for March, but Trackmania Turbo is truly a blast. There’s 200 great tracks to play in single player, and many are extremely challenging. There are times you’ll want to launch your controller but it’s a game that is equally satisfying. Trackmania Turbo also has a stylish appeal, making it a really impressive offering for console gamers looking for a cheaper racing experience.

Black Desert Online

The Division should have been on this list but it isn’t. Instead, a potentially legendary MMORPG takes its place. Black Desert Online is a game that will provide many hours of enjoyment. It has some shortcomings but it’s loaded with content and it’s a gorgeous, polished visual experience. It is a time investment but one that is well worth it.

Teslagrad

We always love it when an Indie title makes our best of the month list and lately it seems to be occurring much more often. We went in with zero expectations and walked away thrilled with this near perfect platformer that deserves praise for the artistic visual medium it presents. Gameplay flows like water and the pacing keeps you wanting more. Rain Games nailed it with Teslegrad and we can’t wait to see what they do next.
