Apex Legends Unveils Exciting Features in New Gameplay Trailer

As Apex Legends Season 21: Upheaval approaches its launch, Respawn Entertainment has treated fans to a thrilling gameplay trailer, offering a glimpse into the exciting new features awaiting players in the upcoming season. Among the surprises is the reintroduction of Solos Mode, a feature that has been absent from the game since 2019, defying previous statements from Respawn indicating that the mode would never return.

According to Mike Button, Apex Legends events lead, Solos Mode will run as a six-week takeover of Duos during the first half of the season. This extended period aims to provide players with ample time to immerse themselves in the new Solos experience while allowing the development team to gather valuable feedback. The decision to reintroduce Solos Mode was driven by increasing player demand and a desire to revisit the concept with insights gained since its last appearance.

In addition to the return of Solos Mode, the gameplay trailer showcases new features, including fully kitted weapons and the introduction of Respawn Tokens, offering players a second chance at life.

Apex Legends Delayed

Further enhancements in Season 21 include a revamped Broken Moon map, with the removal of the Promenade POI replaced by the new Quarantine Zone POI.

Fans also got a closer look at the new legend Alter and her unique abilities:

  • Tactical: Void Passage – Create a portal passageway through a surface.
  • Passive: Gift From The Rift – Remotely interact with a deathbox to claim one item (excluding armor).
  • Ultimate: Void Nexus – Create a regroup point accessible to all allies, allowing them to open a phase tunnel back to that location remotely.

Apex Legends Season 21: Upheaval is set to launch on Tuesday, May 7, at 10 AM PT / 1 PM ET, promising an exhilarating new chapter in the popular battle royale game. Players will get to enter an exciting new chapter in the title’s history.
