Yakuza Kiwami 2 Video Review
While it may be something of a niche series here in the West, gamers the world over know about the Yakuza franchise. The legendary series that has carved a path all it’s own is making its way once again to North America with Yakuza Kiwami 2; a full remaster of Yakuza 2 that is rebuilt with the Dragon engine from Yakuza 6. This is the kind of remaster gamers want to see: a beloved and cult classic title being brought up to date and revamped with the right tools to tell the iconic story of the game with the mechanics we have grown to love. Yakuza Kiwami 2 is a masterful title, but for more detail on what makes this game so great, be sure to check out our video review below.
Yakuza Kiwami 2 is a remake of the acclaimed Yakuza 2, updated with new graphics, the Dragon engine, and everything the Yakuza series is known for with weird and wild mini games, side quests, and so much more. While the game has a beautiful fresh coat of paint with updated graphics and the much smoother combat engine originally seen in Yakuza 6, the wild and weird narrative remains untouched so fans of the series can experience the classic tale all over again. Yakuza Kiwami 2 is also a great opportunity for newcomers of the series to jump on board as the game begins with a recap of the previous entry.
