Travis Strikes Again: No More Heroes Review
Travis Strikes Again: No More Heroes is not the direct sequel to No More Heroes 2: Desperate Struggle, but it’s got the same protagonist- Travis Touchdown- and it’s from the same mind: Suda51. An action-adventure hack’n’slash game, this one’s got a few changes to mix things up. For one, it’s top-down, which is new for the series, and two, it takes place seven years after No More Heroes 2, when a professional baseball player turned assassin named Badman seeks revenge on Travis for the murder of his daughter. So, the usual, right? Well, for the No More Heroes series, it’s not out of the ballpark, as you’ll see in our review below.
Oh, and the two characters, while battling, get pulled into a possessed video game. Did I neglect to mention that? In the game (and inside that game), Travis and Badman work together to try and get the demonic console to grant them a wish: to bring Bad Girl back to life. This means that the game is almost entirely co-op, along with being a fun, fourth-wall-breaking adventure game that’s stylish, edgy, and best enjoyed with a grain of salt. Sure, it’s not perfect, but we’re sure Travis would agree when we say, what game is?
