Counting Down the Top 9 Best Video Game Surprises of the Year
Without a doubt each and every year publishers and developers work their magic, despite the never-ending rumor mill, to gift us with some major video game surprises throughout the year. If you think back each year you’ll probably remember the biggest surprises because they come out of left field. Think back to 2019 when Apex Legends was released without warning. Or more recently, in 2020, when Fall Guys took the gaming world by storm.
Keep in mind surprises can mean anything from release dates out of the blue to games you thought would be terrible but end up being amazing. With that said, there were definitely some good shocks that came this year. Naturally, since it’s Game of the Year time, everyone here at COGconnected voted for their favorites.
