Hands-On with Soul Calibur VI in 4K at E3 2018
The Soul Calibur series has been a staple in fighting games for ages, dating back to the times we spent in the arcade as kids. Much like ourselves, the Soul Calibur series has grown over time with some fantastic changes in gameplay and mechanics, bringing us custom fighters, historical tales, and iconic characters of both heroics and villainy. With Soul Calibur VI only a few short months away – and still plenty to be unveiled – our team at E3 2018 went hands on to try out the refined combat and see how newcomer Geralt of Rivia from the Witcher 3 fared in combat, check it out below.
Soul Calibur VI is the latest entry in the Soul Calibur series of fighting games, taking the narrative all the way back before the original story began. Returning favorites Mitsurugi, Ivy, Nightmare, Siegfried, and more all return with much of the roster still left to be revealed. As is normal for the series, guest characters are set to join the roster with only Geralt of Rivia being announced so far, however don’t be surprised if one or two more pop by. Soul Calibur VI is set to feature a more streamlined and accessible control scheme for newcomers, all new combat features, a character creation, and plenty more yet to be announced.
