Sonic Mania Plus Video Review
To say that the blue blur has been through troubling times in the past is an understatement. With release after releases of sub-par adventures, Sonic Mania opened everyone’s eyes as the hedgehog experience we all needed. We were blown away by the solid return to form, so with the announcement of Sonic Mania Plus we sat eagerly anticipating what would be in store next for Sonic and his friends. While it might not be a fully redesigned and brand new entry into the series, what we did get was still a fantastic experience. Check out our video review below to learn more about Sonic Mania Plus.
Sonic Mania Plus takes the phenomenal original game and tweaks the formula in just the right ways to make even the most die-hard Sonic fan happy. With 60 fps, modified stages, increased difficulty, two new playable characters, and the all-new Encore mode, Sonic Mania Plus is a big step up from the original game and well worth the minor additional cost. Bosses feel more intelligent and the game itself balances itself much better than the original version. Having a roster of characters to switch between – all with unique abilities – adds so much more depth to the experience as you’ll take on enemies and explore the colorful stages in all new ways.
Sonic Mania Plus is set for release on July 17, and will be available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and the Nintendo Switch. For more information, check out the game’s official website.
