Halo: Reach Remaster 4K Gameplay – Courtesy of XO19
It’s hard to believe that it’s been over nine long years since the release of Halo: Reach for the Xbox 360 and earlier this year it was announced that this classic Halo title would be making its way to PC. At the latest XO19 conference we found out that the release date for this remaster is actually much, much closer than we may have originally thought. What’s even better though is that we while we were there we got to play the first mission of the game in stunning 4K! You can check it out below.
As a note, the capture machine we used for this gameplay was a little wonky, so we apologize in advance for some of the skipping within. You should be able to tell from the video, at least in part, that the graphics have received a boost to 4K UHD and 60 FPS. Additionally there is set to be a whole slew of support for mouse and keyboard to make the change from Xbox to PC as smooth as possible.
Now if you’re all new to Halo: Reach, players will play as the newest member of the Noble Six, a group of Spartans who are set to defend the planet Reach and Earth from destruction at the hands of the Covenant. Dive into the campaign to fight against the Covenant, or jump into multiplayer and experience an overhauled progression system and more than 20 maps. Or, if you’re looking for something else, Firefight offers the chance to go it alone or recruit your best buddies to survive against endless waves of enemies.
The Master Chief Collection will be sold on the PC as individual titles, and then as a package when they’ve all been released separately. So first Halo: Reach will drop on December 3rd, followed by Combat Evolved, 2, 3, ODST, and 4. If you want to know more about the game, you can check out the official game website here.
