Far Cry 5 Video Review
The wait is almost over, folks! It feels like only yesterday we were treated to Ubisoft’s trailer for Far Cry 5, leaving us with the latest entry in the controversial series known for pushing the line and creating high-octane action. Far Cry 5 maintains a familiar form for the series, but much like the other major Ubisoft properties, the latest entry in the series goes above and beyond out expectations to deliver an experience that is simply incomparable.
Saving the people of Hope County has never looked so good, felt so smooth, or delivered such a haunting and visceral story as we have in Far Cry 5. It’s a game that not only is based in the fantastic, but borrows from real world and plausible plots to create a threat that sits very close to home. If you haven’t been sold on Far Cry 5 since its initial release, check out our video review below to see what you can expect when it comes time for you to head to Montana and save the people from the clutches of the god-fearing extreme.
Far Cry 5 is the latest entry into the Far Cry series, taking place in the fictional town of Hope County, Montana. Players will take the roll of a deputy stepping in to try and stop the rise in power of a faith-based cult who take their attempts to “save” the people to biblical extremes. Much like the previous entries, Far Cry 5 will see you get in the middle of some truly spectacular action sequences, stealthing through enemy territory, and encountering deadly wildlife as you do your best to survive in the open world. Far Cry 5 made waves during its announcement last year due to its villains no longer being a fictional foreign people in a far off land and instead making them a faith-based, white, American group in the heart of the USA – a group not often targeted in video games.
Far Cry 5 is set for release on March 27, and will be available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. For more information, check the game’s official website.
