Compulsion Games has been teasing us with one of the most anticipated and interesting alternate history games we have seen in ages in We Happy Few, the haunting experience with a delightful art style that almost makes you overlook the horrors of what the English are going through… almost. With such a fantastically propaganda laden game on the horizon, it is only fitting they release this time capsule full of some truly amazing propaganda. Check out our unboxing below.
We Happy Few is an open world first person thriller with RPG elements set in an alternate history in which England surrendered to the Germans, who then took all of the youth and created a state-mandated use of the pacifying and hallucinogenic drug Joy, leaving the people in broken poverty and subdued by force. Players must navigate the sinister world which can be experienced in both its true nature and the surreal bliss of its Joy induced counterpart. You’ll get into fist fights, discover dead bodies and rotting crops, and all you want to do is find your little brother. The game has been a haunting and deeply compelling narrative we have all wanted to sink our teeth into ever since it was first announced some time ago.
