Dragon Ball FighterZ Video Review
Over the years, the Dragon Ball franchise of video games has had some notable entries, but often times found itself falling to the wayside in favor of established icons like Street Fighter, Mortal Kombat, Tekken, or Soul Calibur. Diehard fans of Dragon Ball have been itching to get a title that could show up the competition, and 2016’s Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 did a fantastic job of bringing the show to life. If ever there was a game to do the series proud, to make waves and stand out head and shoulders above the competition, it has to be Dragon Ball FighterZ. With a gorgeously eye-catching art style, easy to use mechanics, and over the top animations, Dragon Ball FighterZ looks to deliver the anime fighter we’ve been waiting for. With three main story arcs, character-shared button controls, 3v3 combat, and a roster of 24 characters – with more to come in DLC – Dragon Ball FighterZ will have you feeling like a master in no time. Characters are well balanced, so putting together a team of your favorites based on who you like and not just stats is a viable option to win, which means fans of Krillin can finally rejoice! Dragon Ball FighterZ also features cosmetic items to make your characters stand out – a necessity in such an intensely fast-paced game; you’ll want to see your character from every angle, a feat easily completed with the phenomenal anime-inspired super moves.
