Doom: The Dark Ages Video Review
Although the originals were landmark titles in the medium, the new iterations take the essence of what made them great and expand on these aspects for a modern audience. With its refined mechanics, bold visual identity and an emphasis on storytelling, will Doom: The Dark Ages be the best iteration of the new trilogy?
The Dark Ages removes the verticality of Eternal to focus on grounded, visceral combat. With new weapons such as the Shield Saw and the Pulverizer, you have a range of ways to brutally massacre anyone who steps in your way. While storytelling has always been secondary within the series, the latest iteration places more emphasis on this aspect. Will this elevate the experience or detract from the frantic gunplay? Check out our video review below to find out!
