Turtle Beach Burst II Pro Review
It’s safe to say that we here at COGconnected have been fans of the Burst lineup for years. Back in 2020, the original Burst Pro impressed us so much we gave it a 96, calling it one of the most responsive and best-engineered mice in its class. Then, the Burst II Air mouse followed up with a nearly flawless showing of its own, scoring a 95 thanks to its lightweight design and incredible wireless performance. The Burst II Air was my go-to mouse for some time. Turtle Beach is back again with the Burst II Pro, and once more, it feels like the team has taken everything we loved and delivered a mouse that excels on every level.
The Burst line of mice has always been about speed and precision. That really hasn’t changed since day one. Turtle Beach is billing the Burst II Pro as a “high-performance 8K wireless esports gaming mouse.” I get it, that sure sounds like marketing fluff, but it really isn’t. It’s that good. With an 8K wireless polling rate and 0.125ms latency, it’s 8x faster than standard gaming mice. Every flick, swipe, and adjustment feels immediate and seamless. It didn’t matter what I played or where I worked, this mouse reacted with blazing speeds.
Turbo Charged
Under the hood, it’s powered by the Owl-Eye 30K DPI sensor, capable of 750 IPS tracking speed and 70g acceleration. Whether you’re playing on a cloth, wood surface, or even glass, the Burst II Pro tracks with 99.8% resolution accuracy, which is remarkable precision. I used this thing on a crusty old coffee table, a high-end mouse pad, and even on a fabric couch surface. In all three instances, the mouse responded just as I hoped. It glides so nicely. If you’re a competitive player, you’re absolutely going to love the consistency and quickness of this mouse.

Another standout feature is Turtle Beach’s Titan Optical Switches, which have been upgraded. They’re rated for 100 million clicks, and those clicks are both crisp and satisfying. Each press feels tactile and deliberate, clicky without the mushiness you sometimes get with other mouse switches. Plus, with adjustable debounce and pre-tensioning, you can tailor your click response to your liking. This is fantastic for competitive players who are all about those micro-seconds of input timing. For me, I am perfectly content with the default settings.
Despite all that power, the Burst II Pro doesn’t sacrifice endurance. You’ll get up to 40 hours of battery life at 8K polling, or an incredible 150 hours at 1K. If you prefer Bluetooth mode for everyday use, it stretches that to 165 hours. That smashes the longevity of most mice in this range, making it an easy daily driver for work and play alike. I love the fact that I won’t have to worry much about the mouse dying on me mid-game.
I should mention that charging is handled via a 1.8m shielded USB-C to USB-A cable. There’s even a USB-C dongle adapter included for easy switching between setups.
Nothing Flashy
At just 57 grams, the Burst II Pro strikes a nice balance between featherlight agility and structural solidity. It’s straightforward and a somewhat boring looking symmetrical shell. Yet it fits comfortably in my hands and is particularly well-suited for claw and fingertip grip styles. Much like my Rav 4, there is nothing visually appealing about it, but just like that Toyota, it excels on nearly every level and is the best in its class.
Durability was an issue after my Burst II Air sustained a couple of drops. Naturally, I am skeptical whether the Pro can take a beating. That being said, the solid top gives it a durable feel while maintaining that ultra-lightweight comfort. It’s exceptionally comfortable for long gaming sessions.
Adding to the personalization, Turtle Beach includes three different skate sets (low-friction PTFE, 8-dot dome PTFE, and 8-dot UHMW-PE skates for glass surfaces) plus grip tape for extra control. It’s a small but thoughtful touch. It is really all about making this mouse feel like it was built for you, not just the general market.

The Turtle Beach Burst II Pro is easily one of the best mice I have ever used. Every aspect, from its ultra-fast wireless connection and durable switches to its grip and exceptional battery life, the Burst II Pro was built for serious competition. Turtle Beach continues to refine what was already a superb design. At $139.99 USD, it’s not exactly cheap, but this is expected for a pro-tier mouse. At that price, it delivers well beyond expectations. If you demand precision, comfort, and reliability without compromise, the Burst II Pro is one of the best gaming mice of 2025.
