3. Luigi’s Mansion 2 HD – June 27
Nintendo is continuing its hot streak of overpriced remasters of out of print first party classics! Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon was the 3DS sequel to GameCube’s Luigi’s Mansion. It improved upon the original in every way, and retroactively transformed Luigi’s Mansion from an ok Mario spin-off, into a stone-cold Nintendo classic. This new release has been labelled Luigi’s Mansion 2 HD, and is the final remaster on The Top 5 Video Games Arriving in June 2024.
2. Destiny 2: The Final Shape DLC – June 4
Destiny 2 is Bungie’s latest first-person shooter mega franchise, and Destiny 2: The Final Shape is a massive story expansion and is the conclusion of Destiny 2’s 7 year story. This expansion will include one new free roam destination, one new raid, two new dungeons, a Legendary difficulty, and lots of new weapons and tweaks. Destiny 2: The Final Shape will be available for everything except the Switch.
1. Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree DLC – June 21
The top game on The Top 5 Video Games Arriving in June 2024 is another massive DLC expansion. This one is to Elden Ring, the barely disputed 2022 Game of the Year. Not much is known about Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree, other than that it’s a major story expansion to Elden Ring. This story is over 2 years in the making. Hopefully it lives up to the absurd bar set by the base game. Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree will be available for everything except the Switch.
