2015 has been a year of transition for Nintendo on both the handheld and console fronts. The console maker mainly focused on putting out Wii U games, which meant that its beloved handheld saw a lack of first-party releases. Thankfully, third-party publisher support is still high on 3DS, and they managed to create quite a few highlights on Nintendo 3DS. Here are our picks for the top 10 best Nintendo 3DS games of 2015:
10 – Stella Glow
Japanese developer Imageepoch may have dissolved in 2015, but not before putting out their best game. Stella Glow was a delightful surprise from the veteran studio, and managed to shock players with its mature storyline. If you’re looking for a good Strategy RPG for on-the-go then definitely check out Stella Glow.
9 – BOXBOY!
Hal Laboratory’s BOXBOY! is a wonderful puzzle game, that has protagonist Qbby trying to navigate his way through some tough levels. Despite starting out simple, BOXBOY! has a lot of depth, and managed to build enough boxes to get straight into our hearts. Throw in unlockable outfits, and you can make sure Qbby is as stylish as BOXBOY! is fun.
8 – Gunman Clive 2
Bertil Hörberg’s Gunman Clive 2 is everything you want to see in a sequel. Not only is the run and gun platformer longer than its predecessor, it also features plenty of variety. From riding pandas, to fighting dinosaurs, Gunman Clive 2 has a little bit of everything in it.
