Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 – Five Basic Tips for Beginners to the Multiplayer Experience

3 – Customize Your Loadouts

After playing a few (or a lot) of multiplayer games, you will know which guns, perks and specialists you prefer using. Use this to your advantage. For example, if you like using a certain weapon, level it up until you have the attachments needed to make it a better gun. Any attachment that reduces recoil and gives you added grip is recommended. Experiment with the varying weapons, attachments and perks to determine which ones you should level up in order to stack your loadouts and crush the opposition.

4 – Work With Your Team

When you aren’t playing Mercenary Moshpit, (or even when you are) make sure you stick with the other players on your team. It makes it harder for the enemy team to dismantle you as a group than as a lone wolf. It is also essential to work as a team when playing any objective modes. For example, in Domination, the more teammates there are on a flag, the faster it is to capture it. Keep in mind that while not all teammates will have your back, it is often better to work with them than against them.

5 – Use the Maps to Your Advantage

Each map has unique features. While some might have more cover or buildings, other maps might have multiple places on the map to swim and wall run. Always take advantage of the cover and escape routes provided in the maps, after all, the enemy players cannot hit what they cannot see. On the same note, never run out into open combat when it could have been avoided. By running out into open areas, instead of using the cover, you are an easy target for the enemy team, especially snipers. And while we’re on the topic of snipers, watch out for campers in every map. Always, always, always check corners and other hiding places, because you never know who might be lying in wait for you in the next building or around the next corner!
