Weapon Variety/Modding from Doom
As much as I love the Elder Scrolls series, the melee combat has always been one of the weakest elements of the game. From the dice roll hits in Morrowind to the flailing in Skyrim, it’s always something that feels mediocre. Now I know DOOM was mostly about guns, but there were a lot of creative attachments and upgrades for those guns. I want to see a much more varied weapon set in the next Elder Scrolls game, something more than long and short swords with the same handful of enchantments. Give us attachments that we can add to weapons we find in the field rather than needing to craft a whole new weapon to get a slight advantage. I know that a lot of what I’m asking for can be found in the mod community, but starting with more options in the base game can set the tone for whatever province TES:VI will take place. For instance, Skyrim was littered with swords and daggers, but Elsweyr could have special weapons for Khajiit that focus on close combat, or Imperial or Aldmeri spears could show up another province. I just want to see meaningful variety in what weapon our hero can wield.
Cosmetic Options from Elder Scrolls Online
In a world where you meet hundreds of players, there can be a strong desire to stand out from the crowd. The cosmetic and customization options in the Elder Scrolls online are numerous, allowing you to mix-and-match colors and styles for every piece or armor or clothing you have. There are different mount options to match what you think your character would ride into battle. I would love to see some, if not all of these options, implemented in the next Elder Scrolls game simply because even in a single player game you might want to get fully immersed in the world. At the very least I would love to see different mount options other than horses, possibly race or region specific mounts.
