The Worst
Jump Force
When you throw a bunch of iconic characters from Shonen Jump together, including Goku, Naruto, and Luffy from Dragon Ball Z, Naruto, and One Piece respectively, one might expect a decent game. Unfortunately, a wide range of classic characters is one of the only things that Jump Force has going for it. In the end, we noted performance issues, shallow gameplay, and lame customization to be at the forefront of Jump Force’s issues.
The Lego Movie 2 Videogame
Generally, the Lego videogames follow a formula that involves cooperative gameplay, collectibles, and a decent gameplay loop. Unfortunately for us, The Lego Movie 2 Videogame does not live up to either normal expectations or Lego videogame expectations. Performance issues, framerate problems, clunky menus, a bad camera, and none of the charm from a good movie bring down The Lego Movie 2 Videogame.
Anthem
Anthem is not a significantly bad game, especially with its javelins, combat, and customization. However, Anthem definitely did not meet the expectations of the overall gaming community. An overall lack of content, repetitive gameplay elements, and cumbersome menus were some of the biggest complaints of the game. In our review, we noted that in addition to a dull story, “Anthem has a solid foundation that doesn’t have much built off of it”. While Anthem is expected to evolve over time, we hope that BioWare learns from its rough start.
