NieR: Automata
This may seem like an odd inclusion at first, as unlocking every trophy in NieR: Automata will take a lot of work, but there are easy ways around the most difficult trophies in PlatinumGames’ latest release. That’s thanks to the game allowing players to purchase trophies with in-game currency after watching the credits roll. While trophies are expensive enough that players will likely not have enough money to buy them all without grinding, backing up their save online will eliminate the need to do that. It’s a workaround that I’m sure creator Yoko Taro would be entertained with, and it makes one of the best PlayStation 4 games have an easily obtainable Platinum trophy.
Sherlock Holmes: The Devil’s Daughter
Ukrainian developer Frogwares has made quality Sherlock Holmes adventure games for over a decade, and two of them have made their way to PlayStation 4. Both The Devil’s Daughter and Crimes & Punishments feature interesting mysteries to solve, and pretty easy trophy lists to complete. If players don’t think their detective skills are up to snuff, they can look up a guide in order to make sure they don’t negatively impact Sherlock Holmes’ marvelous reputation.
Steins;Gate 0
As a rule of thumb, visual novels tend to have easy trophies. After all, it’s pretty difficult to make a hard to obtain trophy when the player is essentially reading a choose your own adventure book. Steins;Gate 0 is one of the most interesting visual novels available for PlayStation 4 (sadly, players will have to read its predecessor elsewhere), as the game’s subject matter revolves around the main character feeling attached to an artificial intelligence. The trophies are divvied up between the game’s multiple endings, but those that only want to read the true ending can easily skip text in order to speed their way to the Platinum.
