Eleon Game Studios officially announced the release date for their upcoming video game Empyrion – Galactic Survival. The game will hit Steam Early Access on August 5, 2015.

Empyrion is a 3D free roaming, space survival adventure in which you fly across space and land on planets. Build, explore, fight and survive in a hostile galaxy full of hidden dangers. The game combines elements from space simulations, construction games, survival games and ego-shooters. Empyrion is an innovative blend of Eve Online, Space Engineers, Minecraft, Rust and Halo – all in one package.

– Building spaceships and bases, extensive crafting system
– Space and land combats
– Single player and co-op play
Empyrion will release on Windows PC – support for other platforms is not available at this time, but the company says they have not ruled it out
