According to Sony, The Last of Us sold more than 3.4 million copies between its release on June 14 and July 3 last year, making it the fastest selling new franchise in PS3’s history and, at the time, the console’s quickest selling game of 2013. In mid-March, Sony said that The Last of Us sales had cleared six million units.
Naughty Dog creative director Druckmann recently said there’s a 50/50 chance that a The Last of Us sequel will be developed.
