Hop Onboard in It’s About Pirates
Indie developer Elderwoof Games has officially launched It’s About Pirates on Steam, bringing its pirate-themed roguelike action to players. The game is available for $9.98, with a 15% launch discount running until November 16.
It’s About Pirates puts players in command of a pirate ship as they battle relentless waves of enemies, collect valuable loot, and upgrade their vessel to survive increasingly dangerous encounters. From navigating storms of incoming cannonballs to taking on mythical sea monsters, players will need to make smart decisions and time their attacks carefully to stay afloat.
Building a powerful ship is at the heart of the experience. Players can equip their vessels with an impressive arsenal of weapons, including flamethrowers, harpoons, and mortars. Combining different weapons and items also allows players to experiment with various builds and develop strategies to tackle tougher enemies.
There is plenty of room for customization, too, with more than 150 unique ship parts to discover throughout the adventure. Players can also complete quests across different pirate realms to expand their collection and unlock new possibilities.
The game features 30 adventures, 10 captains, six factions with unique abilities, and over 140 items to shape each run. Players can choose between automatic and manual aiming, collect loot, unlock ship skins, and test their survival skills in Endless mode. Leaderboards also give competitive pirates a chance to prove their worth against others.
