Keystroke Pursuit Lets You Type Your Way Out of Trouble on Steam

Escape the Police With Your Typing Skills in Keystroke Pursuit

Solo developer Yihan Hu has officially released Keystroke Pursuit, a 3D arcade getaway game that puts players’ typing skills to the test, on Steam for Windows PC. The game is priced at $5.99 (€5.79 / £4.79 / Â¥845), but players can grab it with a 20% launch discount until November 11.

Combining the fast-paced nature of typing games like TypeRacer with an entertaining getaway premise, Keystroke Pursuit puts players behind the wheel of a raccoon thief trying to escape a persistent Shiba Inu police officer. The catch? Your typing speed and accuracy determine how well your getaway goes. Type quickly to gain distance, but make too many mistakes or hesitate for too long, and the police will quickly close in.

Players can also build up typing combos to activate nitro boosts, allowing them to smash through roadblocks and maintain their lead. However, escaping isn’t always about speed. Each route presents opportunities to grab extra loot, leaving players to decide whether the additional rewards are worth the risk of losing valuable time.

The game features several heists set across different locations, including a foggy harbor filled with searchlights and an art museum protected by laser grids. Each heist also comes with a three-star rating system, giving players another reason to improve their performance and aim for a perfect getaway.

Keystroke Pursuit supports English typing, with its interface available in both English and Simplified Chinese.

For players looking for something different from traditional arcade games, Keystroke Pursuit offers a fun twist on typing challenges. Just make sure your fingers are quick enough to leave that Shiba Inu cop behind!
