Unleash Mayhem in the Flashes of Chaos
Get ready to turn a ruined research facility into your personal playground of destruction. Brainburn Studio has announced that its fast-paced roguelike top-down shooter, Flashes of Chaos, will launch on PC via Steam on November 6, 2026.
The game throws players into a research facility where the weapon lab has completely fallen apart, and chaos has taken over. With valuable technology scattered throughout the destroyed complex, players must fight their way inside, recover the lost tech, and somehow make it out alive.
Flashes of Chaos puts speed and aggression at the center of its combat. Players will stab, smash, and shoot through enemies while moving through intense top-down battles backed by pulsing synth music. Sitting back isn’t really an option here, as staying aggressive is key to surviving.
The real fun comes from the game’s card-based weapon system. Players can carry three weapons during each run: Primary, Secondary, and Melee, with ammunition cards determining how each weapon behaves. These cards can be moved between weapons and combined with modifiers to create increasingly powerful and unpredictable builds. With countless combinations available, every run gives players another chance to experiment and create something completely ridiculous.
A free demo is already available on Steam, giving players a chance to try the combat and weapon-building mechanics before launch. The demo currently holds a 100% positive rating from Steam users based on its current review sample.
Flashes of Chaos launches November 6, and if you enjoy fast combat and breaking your own weapon builds in spectacular ways, this one could be worth keeping an eye on.
