Rick Strowd Enters FATAL FURY: City of the Wolves in Season 3 on July 23

The Legendary Boxer Is Coming to FATAL FURY: City of the Wolves

SNK Corporation has announced that Season 3 of FATAL FURY: City of the Wolves will begin on July 23, 2026, bringing back one of the series’ classic fighters. Leading the new DLC lineup is Rick Strowd, the fan-favorite boxer who first appeared in REAL BOUT FATAL FURY 2 back in 1998.

Known as the “White Wolf of the Ring,” Rick returns with a revamped fighting style that blends his signature heavy punches with a brand-new Aggressor Style stance. The updated moveset gives him access to overhead attacks, low strikes, catch counters, and several follow-up options, making him a more technical fighter while retaining the raw power that made him a standout in earlier games.

Rick’s story also plays a major role in the update. In Arcade Mode, the world champion enters the latest King of Fighters tournament while searching for answers behind the mysterious illness that has struck his wife, Catherine. He believes the tournament may hold the key to uncovering the truth. Meanwhile, his Episodes of South Town storyline follows him as he travels back to South Town after an unexpected feeling draws him there, setting the stage for another chapter in his journey.

Rick Strowd will feature English voice work by Alejandro Saab and Japanese voice acting by Yasutaka Azuma.

Players can purchase Season Pass 3 for $19.99/€19.99 if they already own the base game. New players can also pick up the FATAL FURY: City of the Wolves Revenge Edition, which includes the base game along with Season Passes 1, 2, and 3, for $49.99/€49.99.

Rick’s return marks a strong start for Season 3, and longtime Fatal Fury fans will finally get the chance to step back into the ring with one of the franchise’s most iconic boxers.
