Wishlist Land of Ruins Right Now
Developer anWoWo, in collaboration with publisher YuetteGames, has officially launched the Steam store page for Land of Ruins, marking a major milestone for the indie project after six years of development. Created by a dedicated two-person team, the strategy RPG is now open for wishlisting, giving players their first glimpse into its ambitious design.

Land of Ruins blends classic hex-based tactical combat with roguelike-inspired exploration. It offers a layered gameplay experience that rewards both strategy and adaptability. Players take command of a customizable squad of heroes, venturing deep into mysterious, procedurally generated ruins filled with hidden resources and dangerous enemies.
A key gameplay element revolves around managing limited firelight, which determines how far players can safely explore into the darkness. Along the way, players will recruit heroes, develop their abilities, and craft unique builds by combining skills and talents. Every decision, from movement to combat tactics, plays a role in shaping each run.
No two adventures are the same, as maps, enemy encounters, and rewards are randomized. This ensures high replayability, while player choices directly affect progression speed and overall outcomes.
The game features hex-based turn-based combat, roguelike exploration systems, deep party-building mechanics, and synergy-driven character customization. The Steam page also hints at future updates, including additional classes, enemies, and gameplay systems. Public playtest recruitment has already begun, and the game currently supports five languages.
With its thoughtful design and long development cycle, Land of Ruins is shaping up to be a promising entry in the indie strategy RPG space.
