Kabuto Park Will Open on Nintendo Switch and Xbox on 28th May

Become the Best Bug Catcher in Kabuto Park

A relaxing indie favorite is preparing to reach a wider audience, as Kabuto Park makes its way to new platforms next week. Developer Doot, alongside Seaven Studio, has confirmed that the cozy bug-collecting adventure will launch on Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and the Windows Store via Xbox Game Pass on May 28, 2026. The release coincides with the game’s first anniversary, arriving at an accessible price of $5.99 USD.

Players on Nintendo Switch can already pre-order the game and will be able to make use of the Joy-Con’s gyroscope. It will mimic the motion of swinging a bug-catching net to capture insects in-game. This small but thoughtful feature adds a tactile layer to the experience, reinforcing the title’s laid-back, immersive feel.

Kabuto Park

At its core, Kabuto Park offers a short but engaging gameplay loop. It places players in the role of Hana, a young girl enjoying her summer vacation. Over the course of a month, players collect, train, and assemble a team of bugs to compete in the Summer Beetle Battles Championship. The game combines simple capture mechanics, light progression systems, and a touch of deck-building strategy, all wrapped in a cozy aesthetic filled with warm visuals and soothing music.

For those looking for more, the game will also be available in a bundle with Minami Lane for $8.99 USD.

With its relaxing tone and accessible gameplay, Kabuto Park looks set to find a wider audience across platforms.
